Where to mail your citizenship certificate applications?
Online applications are uploaded online. Go here to see about online applications. Where you mail, your paper application depends on where you live.
If you are sending a paper application
Mailing addresses are only used for paper applications. Online applications are directly uploaded to IRCC’s websites when you log in to your IRCC Secure Online Account and complete the application.
By regular mail (not recommended)

If you are mailing outside of Canada, follow these steps:
Submit your paper application to the nearest Canadian embassy, consulate, or high commission. Your certificate (if your application is approved) will be sent to the same diplomatic mission where you can pick it up.
If you are reclaiming your indigenous name and live in Canada or the US:
If you live in Canada or the USA and are applying to reclaim your indigenous name, then you have to send your application in an envelope with “CTA-17 – Proof” written on the outside in clear, dark letters to the following address:

If you send your application online and additional documents are requested?
No. Your documentation depends on the specifics of your case, not on whether you apply online or on paper. The main difference is that you have to upload digital copies of your documents when applying online rather than mailing copies (or originals, as the case may be) when applying on paper.
However, not everyone can apply for a citizenship certificate online. Only certain cases are allowed to apply.

If I kept my tracking number does this help when I call for a status check on my application?
What you need to track your application is your Unique Client Identifier (UCI) or your Application Number. You then log in to the Client Application Status Tool, as we explain, click the link.
